MD Of Power Utility In Togo And Benin Visits TCN

The newly appointed Managing Director of the Communauté Electrique du Bénin (CEB), Togo, Mr. Karimou Chabi Sika, on Tuesday, 2nd May, 2017, led a delegation of the company to pay a courtesy call on the Managing Director of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Mr. Usman Gur Mohammed.

The visit which is within the framework of the West African Power pool (WAPP) was aimed at strengthening the bilateral cooperation on electricity services between  Nigeria on one hand and the Republics of Benin and Togo on the other hand, with a view to ensuring adequate and stable power supply for their citizens.

During the visit, the CEB Managing Director congratulated his Nigerian counterpart on his recent election as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the West African Power Pool (WAPP). Other issues that took centre stage at the meeting include the settlement and reconciliation of electricity bills, resuscitation of some abandoned power projects in Nigeria, Benin and Togo.

On his part, the MD, TCN thanked the delegation for finding time to visit and assured that the issues raised in the course of the deliberation will be promptly considered. 
CEB is the power utility responsible for providing electricity supply in the Republics of Togo and Benin.
